serialize handler

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how to write a serialize handler function
(session.serialize_handler)? There's not a word about it in the manual.

From the manual:

session.serialize_handler string
session.serialize_handler defines the name of the handler
which is used to serialize/deserialize data. Currently, a
PHP internal format (name php) and WDDX is supported (name wddx).
WDDX is only available, if PHP is compiled with WDDX support.
Defaults to php.

So, it's not as simple as writing a function. You will have to write an
extension and compile it with PHP to enable support.

If you want to learn how to write your own extensions, the book "Building
Custom PHP Extensions", might be of interest to you.
