PHP site security

6
Hi!

I'm developing a small script to put on a web site on a UNIX server. I know that there are some pieces of software that are able to download an entire website into your local disk and therefore, I would like to know how can I prevent this from happening to my website? I'm not interested in having other people snooping around my php script.

Thanks!

Hi.

If property configured, your server should never send out the actual PHP code, only the response built by the code. I don't see how any client program would force the server to send the PHP code...

But having said that, a very simple way of protecting your web to have a single index script that loads all other files needed from a directory outside the web-root, where they can not be linked by a URL.
Those sort of webs often rely heavily on passing page id's and such through the GET protocol.
