Without spoon feeding you the answer, why don't you just google "php back button", i found a good answer in the first post that shows up.

What you should do, for the back button, is find out how you can pass the url or the last page you are on (ex. "index_1.php") to the next page you go to ("index_2.php"). Then set some variable...

[PHP]$lastpage = index_1.php[/PHP]

then you back button would be

[PHP]echo '<a href="';
echo $lastpage;
echo '"><img src="backbutton.jpg"></a>';
[/PHP]

This is just a general idea, so it's not your answer....do some digging.
