how to pass session names

Hi there,

I want to wrap the following code in a function called ssGet() so I do not have to call isset() every time.

//example db_var actually loaded dynamically
$db_var = 2;
 
if isset($_SESSION['sess']['page'][$db_var]['myvar']))
{
  $ret = $_SESSION['sess']['page'][$db_var]['myvar']
}
else
{
  $ret = false;
}
 
How do I pass the session variable name in ssGet()?
 
Is this possible? I would like to use it something like:
 
// set somewhere else
$_SESSION['sess']['page'][$db_var]['myvar'] = 10;
 
 
if ($myvar = ssGet("['sess']['page'][$db_var]['myvar']))
{
 // do something because myvar is set
}

I may have more or less array levels.
