Where can I get a copy of php_gd2.dll for Windows XP?

First of all, I'm running PHP 5.2.3.

I need GD support for my shopping cart software and I have had no luck finding a copy of the DLL. I tried the PECL distribution and there is not a copy there.

Any pointers on where I can find it?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan.

You can get it from php.net, the official PHP web.

Just download the ZIP version of the Windows Binary. The file will be in the /ext directory in the ZIP file.

P.S.
I will be very surprised if the 5.2.4 version of the GD dll doesn't work with 5.2.3 so I doubt you need to go looking for the exact version.

Heya, Dan. Welcome to TSDN!

Go to Add/Remove Programs and click the repair button for PHP. I don't remember exactly what happens next; perhaps there's a 'custom installation' button. At any rate, you'll see a bunch of checkboxes. Make sure the 'GD', or perhaps 'Image Functions' checkbox is selected and then click next to install GD support.

It's been awhile since I installed / maintained PHP on a PC, but that should be the gist of it.

O yea, thats right. I totally forgot about that :P

Just click the 'change' button in the 'Add/Remove' list. Click the 'change' button again in the wizard and go on until you reach 'Pick Items to Install'. Then extend the 'Extensions' tab and check the 'GD2' option.

Pretty much what pbmods said :P
