Dreamweaver won't connect to MySQL

Ok, So far I have been pulling my hair out!

I can't get dreamweaver mx8 (on mac osx) to access my database, which is sat on a streamline.net shared windows server. I have acsess to my database through phpmyadmin. That is how i created the tables.

However, I have been through lots of help sites and still can't get dreamweaver to see database to assess my tables.

I have tried using other gui such as navicat and I can access my tables through that.

But I still can't use DW. I have all the correct settings through site definition (in test server) and also through mysql connection through the database window.

Mysql Username: myusername
Mysql Password: mtpassword
Mysql Hostname: mysql11.streamline.net
Database Name: mydatabase

Server Model: PHPMySql
Access; FTP
FTP host:ftp.mydomain.co.uk
host directory:_mmServerScripts/
login: mylogin

MYSQL connection

My Connection: PHPMySQLConn
MySQL Server: mysql11.streamline.net also tried ip address
User Name: myusername
Password: mypassword
Database: select -will not find tells me wrong url prefix

I wondered if it was a server problem, so I contacted streamline. They told me they do not provide service for scripting problems.

I thought it could be because I am on a shared server, because the access is different to a dedicated server.

I can also see the mysql.php on the test server through the file window.

Could it be possible that the server will not run PHP?

I am at a loose end and becoming frustrated at the slow ticket service with streamline.

Can any one, please help me?

Heya, Ian. Welcome to TSDN!

Changed thread title to better describe the problem (did you know that threads whose titles do not follow the Posting Guidelines actually get FEWER responses?).
