PHP validation problem

Hi there, thanks for your attention :)
I've got a signup form which contains some fields and got 2 validations. One inside it( Javascript one ) and one after submittin to the PHP Script.
The PHP script validation errors are sent back to the signup form with GET method and something like signupform.php?error=1
But logically, other correct fields that the user has entered , will reset with this method. Any idea to keep them in the field ? Thanks again.

You could have the validation code and the code that prints the form in the same page, then you could print the values back into the form if it is invalid.

Save your form values to the _SESSION when the User submits the form:

session_start();
foreach( $_POST as $key => $value )
{
    $_SESSION['_form'][$key] = $value;
}
 

And then on your form page:

<?php
    session_start();
?>
.
.
.
<input name="myvar" ... value="<?php echo $_SESSION['_form']['myvar']; ?>" />
 

Don't forget to unset($_SESSION['_form']) once you're done with the data!
