md5 hashing's lenth

Hi
I need to create a page for login
I am planning to store md5 hashed passwords in mysql database
so I am not sure how long will be the result produced by md5() function
Is there some maximum length?
Or is that a constant length?

Thanks

Heya, shreedhan.

You posted this in the Articles section. I'll go ahead and move it to the Forum where an Expert will be more likely to find it.

MD5 outputs a 32-character string.
SHA1 (if you're curious) outputs a 40-character string.
