ODBC connection issues

Hello all,
I was previously getting the error:

"Warning: SQL error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager]
Data source name not found and no default driver
specified, SQL state IM002 in SQLConnect"

but after creating System DSN (originally only
using User DSN) it appears to connect however the web
browser beeps tries to
load the page but sits there for ages with status
bar showing "waiting for localhost..." When I run
the Test in ODBC for both User & System DSN,
the test passes successfully.
The PHP script uses exactly the same DSN, username &
password.

My PC is Win2k.
My webserver is Apache 1.3.28 running on my pc.
PHP version 4.3.3
DB is running remotely on my network.
Please let me know if you require any other info.
Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated.
Tim
