is this a unicode/php issue?

Hello all-

I have some javascript inside a $content .= ' '; var.

When I use the braces { }in the javascript function, the view source
displays as { and &#125.
Do I need to change the page declaration.
I'm running it as XHTML 1.0 strict, with a UTF-8 charset.
Or am I going down the wrong road on that..

Thanks in advance!!!

Impossible to tell without seeing the code you're using.

But it works for me.
