OK, I want to work at a Web Hosting place that is looking for PHP programmers and I don't want to look stupid just going in and finding out I don't have the qualifications,
Here is some info.
Sites Created: 5
Years In php: 2 or 3.
Years In HTML/CSS: 5
What I can create with no problem: Newsletter, Simple Forum, User Account, and Page Hosting. I.E Tutorial Host and or Video Tutorial Posting.
Years In Mysql: 1
What would I be? I would guess a Jr.Programmer, but more in the middle I of what I think. How far do I have to go become Advanced?

Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell 'em, 'Certainly I can!' Then get busy and find out how to do it.

I hope you get the quote... In all programming language the most important is the basic foundation and logic.... Just try to read some more and continue to practice different applications and you will master it.... But not all you'll be learning can be in use of the company....
I've only been using PHP for about 8 months, and I know more than my fair share. Experience and ability are different things. To call yourself "advanced" (according to those of us at DevNetwork), you've got to understand OO concepts and their application in websites, security issues, debugging practices, and be able to properly organize your classes / objects, database tables, and make your code easily reusable.
About the only thing you're not allowed to call yourself is 'senior'. You have to have to supervise a certain number of other programmers to be able to claim that title.
Keep in mind that employers have their own definition of 'advanced'. It might be, 'has a masters in computer science and is the lead on at least three major opensource projects', which of course means that you'll get hired anyway because nobody can afford that kind of 'advanced'. On the other hand, the employer's primary qualification for 'advanced' might be 'knows how to do something that I don't'.
My advice is to put down 'advanced', since that's what all the other candidates will be doing!
