how to show an output more than 1 in database

can anyone show me on how to solve this problem?

i already create a text box consist of 3 columns, so when the user fill in all the text box my database it only capture the last columns of the check box. so my boss come out with this idea but i dont really understand it so can anyone help me pll..

//merge all newpengarang
$new_pengarang = $new_pengarang1 .",". $new_pengarang2 .",". $new_pengarang3;

p/s: pengarang in english is author.
