Evaluating variables in a string

P: 12
does anyone know how to create a link in php to evoke the actions of a variable?
here is what i have so far and it is not working.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. echo "[<a href=\"$SAVE">Save This Event</a>]";

You're missing a backslash.
