mime content type

Hi

I need a function which finds a mime type from string data.php's
mime_content_type function wants only filename to find it.

And it's deprecated, in favour of the PECL extension fileinfo:
This one does what you want for strings:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.finfo-buffer.php
