Processing an XML feed

I want to take in an XML feed using PHP and update a MySQL database. Any advice on how to do this? Is it easy, any issues?

Yes Its possible with PHP.
First you have to read XML data using the Application.Here with I'll give you some tutorial links for you. go through it and try to create your own App and be here once got doubts.
