Is there a need to install PHP for the client

P: n/a
A very basic question: I understand that PHP should be installed on
the server, but does the visitor in a website (whose pages contain PHP
code) need to install PHP on his computer in order to be able to
perform actions , as Java users need to install the JRE or the Java-
plugin? Thanks

No. PHP just generates HTML which is sent to the browser.
