basic question about documentation for different versions of PHP

Hello

My phpinfo page says:
PHP Version 4.4.4-pl4-gentoo
but on the PHP website, there's only documentation for versions 4.0, 4.1,
and 5. Is there a version 4.4? What am I missing?

Dear Ernie,

Use the documentation for the newest versions - Each command holds a
description for which version it was introduced and if there was a
change in behavior.
