if you installed the appserv the php shuold be insatalled in ur system ..to check whethear the php is working or not put this small code in any text editor like notepad wordpad e.t.c

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <?php
  2. phpinfo();
  3. ?>
Save the file as "phpinfo.php" ( with the ".php" extension not with ".txt" or any other extension) into apache root dir .

root dir is a folder with the name of www save the php file into that dir and point your brower to

http://localhost/phpinfo.php

if you see page something look like this picture

that mean the php is installed running and automatically configured to work with (apache http server )

else fi you the link does not open and the file is being downloaded instead .that mean the php is not working
but if u have installed the appserv i am 100% sure that the php is installed and cofigure to run with apache
