recommendation for easy-to-use form validation class or file?

I normally use HTML_Quickform but new client's server doesn't have it and
can't get it (ipowerweb.com). So I am reverting back to my beginnings and
have forgotten how to validate forms easily.

If you know of any links to classes or files (yes, I have already searched
google) that you like and are EASY to use/implement, please post them or
links to them.

Many thanks!

HTML_QuickForm is just PHP code, you should just be able to add it to your own
directories and include path. It doesn't have to be installed via PEAR,
although this is the most convenient method.

That is GREAT to know. Many thanks for passing that along. I'll check
that.

One of the first things I did in learning PHP was roll my own
validation library (and incrementally expand and tweak it). Recently,
however, I've converted to this class for some of my projects:

http://cyberai.com/inputfilter/

Also, this class is great for textarea validation in which you allow
html:

http://simon.incutio.com/code/php/Sa....class.php.txt

But, yes, as last poster noted, you should be able to use PEAR classes
by just including the necessary files.

You may want to take a look at the Forms Generation and Validation
class. It always has been very popular. It comes with several plug-ins
to extend it beyhond the traditional validation types.
