EAN13 barcodes

Hello,
You know how I can read barcodes using a scanner (like the ones used in
shops) and insert them into an input text field.

Most barcode scanner I know are attached to the keyboard plug. So
"scanning is typing". If a text field has the focus, anything scanned it
put into it. If you want a web page to be "scanner-friendly", make sure
the right textbox gets the focus and that you move the focus correctly
after an entry.

Best regards

There are also a number which plug into the serial port.

In either case the scanner itself does the decoding and transfers the
data ascii characters.

P.S.Please don't top post.
