Help with If ...else statement

I am incorporating a pre-existing classifieds program into my website. I would like to charge a nominal fee for ads listing items over $100. I think an if ... else statement would work best in this case with: if item "price" is >100, then bring up pop-up pay pal window, else continue normally.

I am new to php and do not know the correct syntax to use, or the correct way to insert it. Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated.

The existing code reads:

if( $withShoppingCart )
{
$item_typ["attributes"]["price"] =
array(
"type"=>"FLOAT",
"text",
"default"=>"0",
"list",
"details"
);
}

In your code sample you are filling a shopping cart with a price array, isn't it? What does that have to do with the extra charge for items of which the price > 100? That cannot be deducted from your code sample, as far as I can see it.

Please provide some more details on the content of your request.
