just installed punbb but thinking about phpbb

P: n/a
Hello a friend of mine was running phpbb on his site and the site got
hacked. I am starting a new forum site and i installed punbb. Phpbb has
many many nice features that punbb does not have. I had to adapt
advanced poll to my site because i found many threads related to bugs
with easy poll. So now i am running punbb with advanced poll. Not very
friendly but works. I am wondering if i should switch to Phpbb but i am
worried about the security holes of phpbb. My isp has an automated
script to install phpbb on my server. Is phpbb insecure? should i stay
with punbb? anyone has horror stories with phpbb or punbb hacked?
thanks.

I'm trying to create a query that will return a linked record from a
database that will take me back to an update page with that record so I
can change things in the record.

I'm having trouble finding simple code to do this. Can anyone help?

Why not try asking on the PhPBB forums? That's where the users and
experts on PhPBB hang out.

Nope. This is pretty minor and I typically write it for each case.
Easier than trying to adapt it.

What have you tried so far?
