Hi,

You can use ffmpeg and the PHP API ffmpeg-php :
http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/
http://ffmpeg-php.sourceforge.net/
Everything is Open Source but you need the proper rights on the server to
install it.

how to upload the video file??

Like any other file (see the upload section of the php manual if needed).

move_uploaded_file( )
is_uploaded_file( )

The only thing is that video files are bigger than many other files. You
need to check / modify the upload_max_filesize and post_max_size in your
php.ini (or in a .htaccess for a "per folder" approach) :

For example :
php_value upload_max_filesize "15M"
php_value post_max_size "15M"
the upload completes..but i didnt see no video in my server folder??
Ther server uploads the files in its temp folder. Then PHP has to move it to
the appropriate folder (move_uploaded_file).

Poorna,

You have three different threads open for the same problem. You'll find
it much easier to figure out your problem if you keep it to one thread.

Check the value of upload_max_filesize and post_max_size.
The easiest way is probably to use phpinfo(); function.
If you try to change the values with a .htaccess file as I suggested before,
this will allow you to check if your changes have been taken into account or
not.
