Generate a Gif of a LaTeX expression using PHP

Hello

Want to ask your help for the following problem:

I want to generate a GIF or PNG image from a latex expression like:
$\lim_{x\to -\infty} x^m$
or
$\int_{0}^{+\infty} e^{-x^2} dx$
or whatever?
$latexstring = base64encode("$\sum_{n=0}^{\infty} \frac{1}{n^2}$");
i've thought about a file like latex.php?string=$latexstring

Is there maybe already such a script or how could I do this?
Yours sincerely
