about ignore_user_abort()

P: 2
Actually my php script want to run forever even the browser get closed.

I am using ignore_user_abort(TRUE) in my script , i used this function at the very top of my script and also at the bottom of my script.But in most of the definition regarding ignore_user_abort() says that , the script will run forever even the user hit the STOP button in the browser .But my script runs we close the browser.

For some of the reason my script get terminated , for eg : due to the ERROR :connection with the server was rest .... OR the download of specified resource has failed...

So plz tell me is there any way to identify whether a paricular page is running or not. Or is there any way to reinvoke my page after a particular time of period.
