adding GD

P: n/a
The php that came with the FC5 install does not have the GD compiled
in. Is there a (relatively) easy way to add this module, or am I
looking at ripping out php, apache, et al and compiling php from
source?
TIA

Sorry, I have no clue what FC5 means. If it is a kind of linux, you
probably have to recompile PHP. If it is a windows system, download the
full zip file from www.php.net and you have all the libraries. For
windows systems, just put the DLL in the right directory and uncomment
the reference to it in PHP.INI. Some installations have more than one
PHP.INI, and only one of them is actually used.

If all else fails, take a look at http://nl3.php.net/manual/en/install.php

Best regards
