Cannot find MySQL header files

configure: error: Cannot find MySQL header files under
/usr/local/src/mysql/shar
e/
I have tried /usr/local/src/mysql/lib

and tons of other dirs.
Why is this a problem?

I guess you are trying to compile a MySQL based app and don't have the
mysql-devel package installed.
