What do you say excactly?
Don't you like to configure the different softwarepackages (not 'tools'), or
do you not understand how to configure and what it all means?

And what do you mean by 'each stage of development'?

Me confused.

If I understand you well you don't WANT to know how to configure your
software.
Right?
You want some magic out-of-the-box solution.
Well, many exist (look for LAMP on google eg), but I must warn you that it
is not the best way to go.

You do not have to know what the sourcecode of PHP looks, or how to compile
it, but you SHOULD know what is in:
- php.ini (for PHP behaviour)
- httpd.conf for apache
- how to setup mySQL

If you do not want to learn that, your understanding of PHP (or everything
else you study) will be low and you will make costly mistakes sooner or
later.
Think about it a little longer before deciding you don't want to know how
the package work.

Compare it to a new car: "I want to drive, don't bother me with boring stuff
like breakes."

In my experience, time put in studying software before using it pays back.
Always.

just my 2 cent.
