How to install Apache server and PHP on home computer?

I have Apache HTTP Server 2.0.53 and PHP 4.3.10 programs and I want to
install it on my computer so I can view .php pages offline (I don't have
ADSL)?
I tried myself but it doesn't work. Manual is complicated.
Please help me?

Dalibor,

You might want to start with alt.apache.configuration to get Apache up
and running.

The most pain free method I know of is to use Wamp server from here;
http://www.en.wampserver.com/download.php

It's an 18Mb file, but it will install all the programs you need to get
you up and running on windows with PHP.

There is also the installation tutorial at Webmonkey at:

http://www.webmonkey.com/webmonkey/0...tw=programming

It's dated in the year 2000 but it should still be relevant

Have fun
