php website members area / login

Hi all,

I am writing to ask advice on th best way to implement a user login for my site.

I want to have a section on each page where a user can login or become a new user.
I want to store all these unames/passwds in a mysql db.

I don't have much experience in the way to implement this.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any tutorials?

Thanks,
Ritchie
