Hello,
I'm trying to get php authentication working on a test apache2 server
prior to implementing it site wide. I'm authenticating against the system
password file, and i'm getting a parce error at the * line. Any help
appreciated.
Thanks.
Dave.

</head>

<body>

<?

// check the error code and generate an appropriate error
// message switch
* ($e) { What about putting the switch command in the parsed line?
switch ($e) { case -1:
$message = "No such user.";
break;

case 0:
$message = "Invalid username and/or password.";
break;

case 2:
$message = "Unauthorized access.";
break;

default:
$message = "An unspecified error occurred.";
break;
}
