Google framed

P: n/a
The content from Google's web sites can no longer be displayed in frames :-(

If anyone has a PHP screen-scraper and filter that rectifies this
problem - by allowing "unframable" sites to be framed - could they
please let me know!

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Why not? I just tried it and it works.

Why don't you use The Google API instead of using frames? Look at
http://www.google.com/apis/.

Either they fixed it - or it was a local problem.

There is a small O'Reilly + Associates book called "Google Hacks" that could
help you out on things like this - I thought it was strange that there would
be a book on it, but bought it after spending 20minutes reading some of the
ideas it includes... its hints and scripts that are included in the book are
written in Perl but shouldn't prove too difficult to re-write under PHP.

Sorry... one thing the google hacks book also points out is that if Google
finds you're trying to do something against their terms and conditions, that
they are supposedly not shy in having your IP ignored/denied - They actually
give an example of where something like this happened whereby one ISP found
itself denied access to Google all because of programmer (I can't recall
which ISP it was - and I don't know if its happened again, but the
bookauthors do give you the warning and leave it up to you to heed or ignore
accordingly).

anyway... best of luck...
