URL from File Path Name

BNM
I know there must be a function somewhere for converting a local file
path name to the url path (i.e. /user/apache/htdocs/myDir/myFile.jpg
to /myDir/myFile.jpg) but I can't find it! Can someone tell me what
it is?

Thanks!

if you know your DocumentRoot simply strip that off from the path...

ie:
$documentroot = "/user/apache/htdocs";
$url=str_replace($documentroot,"/user/apache/htdocs/myDir/myFile.jpg");

A combination of str_replace() and $_SERVER{'DOCUMENT_ROOT'} should do the
job for you.
