Dynamic Voting Script

Hi All
I've used couple of GPL/free voting scripts (some of these are very good),
but need to create/find one that allows users to add a new answer. For
example:

This is a voting question - which answer is the best?
a) answer a
b) answer b
c) add your own answer, vote for it and allow next voter to see this answer
as voting option.

Any ideas appreciated, George

You might be better off using a dropdown list for your answers just in
case the number of possible answers gets too big. Those answers can
then be called on from a database to populate the dropdown list each
time. For the custom answer just make a textbox and validate which one
was chosen in your PHP script.

Your answers table can have 3 fields... id - answer text - count. You
may also want to collect the email addresses of the voters for future
polls.

George, it sounds like you've gained some experience here. Can you post
which voting scripts you like the best and why?

Much appreciated!

It would be quite easy to write - but it would be easy to abuse and you
would need to set a limit on the maximum number of voting options
allowed or added by other users .

Also , Lets say you did do it and a abusive option was added and voted
for by x amount of users , Unless the script was written from word go to
allow for voting option removal it could screw up the results .

Thanks for your advice, I was hoping someone could explain how I can get a
text box/input string by user added to my list of ooption, cheers.

Post the url of your website and point out where you would be putting
the dynamic vote .
