date and time stamp

Des
I am trying to write a date and time stamp to a file
Date("d-m-y") is ok but time(void) gives me 1124528448
Can I format time into a H:M:S format

Time() is unix timestamp. (as per manual)
date() will do what you want.

your looking for something like
date("G:i:s")

oops, I just showed that you can format a time() just like a date, but both
give both date AND time.
Just use G:i:s or H:i:s as the format string.
