XHTML validator not liking onMouseOver event

Hi,

I am trying to validate my website against XHTML 1.0 transitional.
Unfortunetely it throws up an error because I have used javascript
event onMouseOver

<span onMouseOver="Swap_Image(...

.... and it gives me an error saying that there is no onMouseOver
attribute.

Is there any other way of writing this? Cheers

Hi,

Sorry but I seem to have put this in the wrong newsgroup. Anyway, if
anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated, thanks

Yeah you're probably in the wrong newsgroup. But this is only probably
the right answer...

Try this:

<span onmouseover="doSomethingClever();" >

It is the documented format for XHTML, and XHTML is intolerant of
incorrect case.
