What problem? My crystal ball says you might have an escaping problem,
but it need more input to be sure.

Thanks that was so funny i split my sides.
$name = "Peter O'Toole" went as part as an email sublect or message
it comes out as Peter O\Toole

The ['] is replaced with [\]

There is a problem in database that insists that you have to double up
with a string replace function to give [''].

so without the silly humour how do you put the $name into the email
message correctly

I can't even imagine this is true.

What humor? I was being sarcastic.

There should be a FAQ entry for escaping in in this group. I think I
even wrote a little about it. Do a search for it and you might find out
what is really going on (Message-ID: <42*********************@news6.xs4all.nl>)

BTW because i hate TOFU: Goodbye.

contained the following:

I know one thing. You'll need Daniel's help before he needs yours.

Your loss.

Ohhh, sounds like someone has a broken sense of humour.

BTW: someone with the word 'tool' in his last name should not be dispensing
insults.
