Thanks that was so funny i split my sides.
$name = "Peter O'Toole" went as part as an email sublect or message
it comes out as Peter O\Toole
The ['] is replaced with [\]
There is a problem in database that insists that you have to double up
with a string replace function to give [''].
so without the silly humour how do you put the $name into the email
message correctly

is there away to overcome this apostrophe problem.
What problem? My crystal ball says you might have an escaping problem,
but it need more input to be sure.
