Has anyone used PHP on IIS Virtual Web Host with MS SQL Server?
I currently have to use ASP to develop a site, but later on I would
prefer to move this site on a BSD/Linux + Apache + PHP host (but
keeping the same MS SQL DB to start with). Because I don't want to
convert the ASP to PHP later on, I want to use PHP right away but IIS
does not have the PHP isapi installed.
I have access to the CGI-BIN folder by FTP. I wonder if I can dump
PHP.EXE PHP.INI etc. in there and access it in the url by doing
something similar to: http://mydomain.com/cgi-bin/php.exe/index.php
And then use whatever functions PHP has to use SQL Server (unless that
is a very big no no)..
I must be saved from the evil VBScript / MS licensing. Much
appreciated if you let me know what you think, thanks.
