Let's write a PHP script to access the raw sectors of the cd and try to
make sense of them. :-)

It would be interesting to develop a web application to access remote cd
drives at low level. It would allow some cool features for intranets
(e.g. burn a cd from a webpage).

The API would be exposed as a webservice by the server, but internally
it would map to ATAPI/SCSI commands.

However, it seems the gap between webservices (high level of
abstraction) and ATAPI/SCSI commands is too big. Isn't it? So... what
about a web front-end for cdrecord?
