Can somebody tell me how to change the max_input_time when uploading large
images from my local PC to the server. Also how do I change the
max_execution_time?
ini_set('max_execution_time', 600); // sets it to 10 min (600 sec)
max_input_time can't be changed in scripts, it has to be set in php.ini,
or in httpd.conf or a .htaccess-file (the two latter are only for Apache
afaik).

Try:
ini_set('max_execution_time', 600); // 10 minutes
Not sure about max_input_time, check docs to see if it's changeable through
init_set() or just try it :)
