Problem with PHP CURL - logging to secure site

14 New Member
Hi,

I am trying to access a site on secure server (http) through CURL. I have username and password with me.

The site is using sessions or cookies to maintain user state through all screens of website. I am not aware, what are the session or cookie names ?

So, how do I maintain the user state and access web pages of the site using CURL once I log in with CURL ?

Thanks,
Sandeep

Hi.

To maintain a session using Curl, you would have to store the cookie data in a file that PHP can access.

To do that, simply create a file that PHP has write access to and use the curl_setopt function to set the CURLOPT_COOKIEF ILE option, specifying the path to your file.

I have a small PHP ecommerce site set up using Authorize.net's SIM (simple) interface. Working fine, but... I'd like to implement their AIM interface (so visitor's will never see the gateway's URL). I found a script that does this but requires cURL... and my hosting provider doesn't support it. Here is the snippet of the code that uses cURL functions ($data values are set before this from the purchase form):

What is the most standardized method of utilizing the CURL functions in PHP (version 4.3.2) to be able to retrieve the contents of a remote URL that happens to be dependent upon $_SESSION for its content display? I've tried the following class methods for display and I have most everything working until I get to a URL that requires $_SESSION: class Timer extends View {

Hi everybody, I am desperately trying to log into my account at godaddy.com with PHP and Curl and just cannot make it happen. Has anybody written a script for this purpose? Here is what I tried but the result is always the login page. $curl=curl_init(); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, FALSE);

I've been trying to find a solution to this for quite some time now... I even took a look at existing scripts... Including this one... http://groups.google.co.uk/group/comp.lang.php/browse_thread/thread/2e052386da903425/b03ec83ac55273a2?lnk=st&q=&rnum=1#b03ec83ac55273a2 Everyone on that post seems to say its to do with the cookie's, yet if infact they had tried this script they would have found that even with the cookies enabled this...

So, I'd like to create the following scenario: 1) Use cURL library within PHP (cURL + "Cookie Jar", et.al) to create a virtual browser session that "logs in" to a remote site. (For example: here: http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/php/examples/cookiejar.html and here: http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/php/examples/ebay_login.html

I have a php script that runs from command line and makes an https request to paypal, using curl. It works fine if I run it from a web page. It fails if I run it from CLI. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
