Data entry form with long list to choose from

I'm not sure what it's called, a data entry form with long list to
choose from where you select with shift, control & drag then hit the
arrow button to move those into the box on the left. A nudge in that
direction? Just knuckle down & build it myself?

I'm just getting back into this for some updates after no coding for a
year or so, it's not something I do full time <g>.

I spent ages looking for this about a month ago. I eventually discovered
that it is called "Option Transfer". It is actually nothing to do with php
really.

Beautiful, thank you. I don't normally do much with javascript but this
is a good reason to.

You can't do it with PHP - PHP runs on the server, and what you want
will have to run on the client. Try javascript.

Hello all, I'm posting this to the list with the intention to form a group of people interested in this type of solution. I'm not going to spam the list with it, unless for occasional and relevant announcements. If you're interested, drop me a note. But if for some reason you think that this discussion is fine here at the c.l.py, please let me know. ** LONG POST AHEAD **

Struggling a bit here & would be grateful for any help. I have a table which has a list of people in it. Each person has a unique ID automatically allocated by Access but also belongs to one of 5 Groups - call them A to E. I'd like to generate a further automatic reference number based on something like Group/Unique ID so when I create a new record Access creates the Unique ID & I then enter in the group and then Access combines the two...

Hi Everyone, I'm generally unfamiliar with Access form design, but have programmed Cold Fusion applications for a couple of years. I'd like to build a data entry form in Access that allows the following. First, the data schema: Three tables are involved. The first is a PERSONS table which has two fields, SSNUMBER (primary key), and NAME.

Here's one that should probably have the sub-heading "I'm sure I asked this once before, but ...". Two users are both looking at the same data, from a database. One user changes the data and commits it. How does the other user get the updated view without polling for changes? Is there some sort of callback mechanism that can be set up on the dataset or connection? TIA

How do I work with a std::list that might have multiple objects having the same "key", but which have other data that is different? Here's code that compiles, but doesn't do quite what I expect: (Please note that there's some specialized I/o code here, but the logic flow should be clear...) struct GenCheck // Gender Check data { char genCode; int useCount;

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
