minimal phplib example for auth and session management needed

Hi,

after searching the web without finding what I'm looking for, I ask for help
in this group.

I would like to use phplib for authentication and session management. What I
need, is a minimal example of how to do the following:

- user login and logout, keep track of current user
- user administration (new users, ...)
- session management: pass variables from page to page without using URLs

A simple example would give me a starting point.
I would really appreciate any hints.

Thank you,
Magnus

Hello, This might be a little off topic, but the PHPlib mailinglist doesn't seem to be very active, so maybe you guys can help me out. This is the problem: When in GET-Mode (Cookies disabled) the following code: <a href="<?php echo $sess->url("index.php")?>"><?php echo

I have an extension Class to Auth and I'm looking for some folks to hammer on it a bit and give feed back. Class: AuthUser - add user (well, Auth does that now, so its gone) - remove user (well, Auth does that now, so its gone) - change password (well, Auth does that now, so its gone) - case sensitive ID match - some DBS don't - limit...

I have been using phplib for a while and I really like the framework except for form creation. Maybe it is me but I in my opinion there isn't a good way to create forms or should I say, everything else is so well done that the way you create forms seems to be too cumbersome, in particular making it so that a pull down menu selects a value...

Dear reader, For the last three years I'm using the template parser of PHPlib with a lot of pleasure. I think this is still the best mechanism for seperating PHP-code and HTML related code. Of course there are many, many other good parsers but this just my opinion. But a lack of most of the HTML-template parsers is SPEED. When developing...

I had this problem in the past, after a server reformat it went away, and now after another server reformat it's back again - no clue what's doing it. Here's the flow: Website root is public, no SSL no forms auth. One of the subfolders in the public area is the root of a "protected" area; SSL is required from this subfolder on forward and...

If a session times out, but the forms auth is still logged in it's possible for users to go to pages on the site that need those session variables. I was under the impression that using forms auth would make it so I would not need to check if session vars were still around. I'm confused! Perhaps someone can clear this up for me? --...

I have a framework working where I have multiple pages each checking the authentication status. Unauthorised users are redirected to a login page - otherwise the requested page is shown. Now my question is just to get a little clarification. On the login page I create and object of type Auth

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
