but will there be any overhead in doing this? i mean the proxy pass?I see someone else beat me to it - I was going to suggest the same thing :-)
The largest overhead in this "solution" is that every request goes over
your webserver and so your traffic will grow.

Hi all, I want to do a similar action to response.redirect ("file.htm"). But the file.htm contains some sensitive data. I have placed file.htm in a folder in the InetPub (d:\inetpub\privateroot\file.htm) so that it is not accessible by a simple HTTP request. An asp login script will be used, and then once the user is verified the page should redirect to d:\inetpub\privateroot\file.htm. But obviously I cannot use response.redirect...

Hi, I am writing a DLL in VB.NET that implements IHttpHandler.ProcessRequest. This code calls a sub and I need to know if that sub did a response redirect or not. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can insure the browser displays SECOND.ASP? I'm using IE6.

Hi, I'm not sure if this can be done as I've searched the web and this forum. I am using an online merchant provider and I must post certain variables to their webforms through a form on my website. The issue is that I need to gauge whether a user has any items in their basket to decide which page I redirect them too. I could

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
