perl an PHP

could you please tell what is the difference ? i see many things on apache written in perl and not in php.

Have you googled each language and read about them? I am sure that Wikipedia has plenty on this. They are two different languages. PHP is pretty much used to produce web pages, but does a lot more as well.

Perl is programming language as well, but does a LOT more. Read further about them.
