Regular Expression

Hi All,

Hope you all are doing good.

I know lil bit of perl. whenever it comes to regular exprs i m almost lost.
its looks very difficult to me to understand.... :(
can anyone please tell me any good book or tutorial for it.

This is just my personal opinion, so take it for what its worth (maybe nothing).

I don't consider the perl regular expression tutorial (perlretut) to be a good primer for beginners. The best regular expression resource for beginners that I have found is in "Perl 5 by Example".

The edition in the link above is in an ugly html format unfortunately. The original version on CD that was just like regular text was easier to read but the online version has the benefit of having some of the errors that were in the book on CD corrected. This should be considered a little out of date also. But its still very useful and relevant.

The tutorial that comes with perl is of course more up to date.
