please help me out to write a script that will log on from server A to server B, pass the authentication by giving password and then cd to dir i on server B and runs a script stored in dir j on server B.

To me, this is worded as if it is homework. It is against this sites policy for you to post your homework with the expectation of an answer.

To get help, you will have to put effort into this by coding it. If you get stuck or get errors, post your code here (enclosed in code tags) and we will help you get it working. But, since this is a learning forum, not a scripting service, we will not write it for you.

not an assignment....restricted environment..can not use ssh..have to go through rlogin..dont know how to provide password..?

I don't think that there are any modules for rlogin (I did search), but you can use the Expect module to formulate a response to the prompt. Its a little bit of an entailed module, but it is quite powerful.
