how to run an exe file from perl script

i am in need to run an .exe file from perl script and that exe file should accept an input from another file. please give me the solution to run an exe file from perl script

use backtick command to run it.. as follows..
For example if want to kill an active excel session opened you can use the following.
`kill excel.exe`

Get the input of exe from the perlscript as a first argument ....

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. $log=$ARGV[0];//$log contains the input of the exe 
  2.  
  3. system("Z:\\users\\Navas\\tools\\blackwell\\bw-zipfile-validation\\zip_validate.exe",$log);//pass here
  4.
