The difference between two date times

Hi is there a way you could get the difference between two dates and times.

Is there a function in perl to do this already?

basically i got a script and i have a start time and end time. so basically
i want the difference between the start and end to give the duration in date and time.

Could somebody please help me out with this please.

Thanks in advance

What format is your date in? Knowing that would improve our chance of helping you better. I would think a module like Date::Manip or Date::Calc or other would be the best for dates in any format other that Unix(epoch).

What do you mean by the duration in "date and time"? Show us an example.

Hi guys sorry for the delay.

The format of the date and time is going to be in 11-13-2007 13:30:09

What I mean't by duration is the result of the difference between the two datetimes.
