How to fetch the exit code of the executed perl script?

shrek123
Hi,

My perl script1 calls perls script2.
1. How can I return some value from perl script2?
2. How can I get the value returned by perl script2 in perl script1?

For Second operation is it $? that gives the exit code????

Thanks

I posted an example of how this is done in another thread.

$? Is the stauts returned by the last pipe close, backtick(``) command, or system operator.

Are you lookinjg for exit?
